Kia ora koutou e te whanau,
As we move into the holiday period we wanted to inform students and whanau of the following:
From the start of the new school year, covered shoes will be mandatory in our Art Room, Woodwork & Engineering Workshops, Tiny Homes site, Hospitality kitchen spaces and Science Labs.
This is a health & safety issue for students and staff.
By making you aware now, this gives you the opportunity to consider appropriate footwear over the summer break.
Students can still wear black or brown sandals with back straps to school, however they will not be able to enter those spaces and participate in the learning without correct footwear.
Our goal will be to provide a limited amount of shoes in those spaces, but sizing etc might be an issue.
Students who regularly wear sandals will need to bring socks.
We thank you for your understanding around this.
Nga mihi nui.

YEAR 9 & 10 EXAM WEEK
With the evolving landscape of curriculum delivery at NCEA Levels 1, 2, and 3, it is essential that our students become exam smart.
To support this, we will be holding a Junior Exam Week from 1–5 December. Students have already been frontloaded with the information they need, provided either in hard copy or through Google Classroom.
Each morning, students will participate in study sessions prior to their exams, followed by electives in the afternoons to help them unwind after their assessments.
As with all aspects of learning, success in exams is a skill. It requires time, energy, and resilience. Our aim is to equip students with the strategies and confidence they need to achieve their best.
It is expected students attend all week, we will catch up missed exams where required.
